The library provides training for UIK students, PhD students and employees.
Basic training:
- intended for all users, especially for students starting studies in UIK,
- basic, practical knowledge about the Library and searching in catalogue.
Training for seminar groups:
- intended primarily for students writing final essays,
- learning the skills of expanded information in various sources.
Specialist trainings:
- intended for students, PhD students and researchers,
- about selected sources of information.
The training is intended to provide basic, practical knowledge about the Library and how to search resources and use the services offered by the Library. The training is intended for all users visiting the Library and especially for students starting studies at the UIK.
During the training the user:
- gets knowledge how the Library work and rules of using services,
- learns how to use the Library’s computer catalogs,
- gets information about other libraries in Krakow.
The training is intended to learn the skills of finding information in various sources, especially in catalogs and bibliographies. The training is intended primarily for students who write essays or final work.
During the training the user:
- learns how to use the search in the Library’s catalogs,
- gets knowledge about catalogs and bibliographies of the National Library,
- gets knowledge about the NUKAT, KaRo and FIDES catalogs.
The training is intended to developing the scientific workshop based on various sources of information. The trainings are intended for students and researchers.
During the training users:
- gets knowledge about selected sources of information,
- search materials from Polish and foreign libraries,
- using full-text and abstract databases (the Virtual Library of Science),
- search information in institutional repositories.
